Preventing a debilitating
viral disease7

can have chronic symptoms, like joint pain, that last for months or years.9,11,‡
†In a systematic literature review, meta-analysis of 8 studies determined that the overall symptomatic rate of chikungunya infection was 75% (n=912/1217; 95% CI, 0.63-0.84).9
‡Including a meta-analysis of 34 studies across 15 countries showing that more than 40% of patients developed severe long-term symptoms, lasting for months.11

You see every type of traveller.
A team of travellers united under one thing – your protection against chikungunya, a mosquito-borne disease.
And with VIMKUNYA, you can help protect a range of people from becoming infected with chikungunya.
VIMKUNYA is a vaccine indicated for prevention of disease caused by chikungunya virus in individuals 12 years of age and older.
VIMKUNYA is approved under accelerated approval based on anti-chikungunya virus neutralizing antibody levels.
Confirmatory trials are required.
Do not administer VIMKUNYA to individuals with a history of a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) to any of its components.
Appropriate medical treatment must be immediately available to manage potential anaphylactic reactions.
Immunocompromised individuals, including individuals receiving immunosuppressive therapy may have a diminished immune response to VIMKUNYA.
Syncope (fainting) may occur.
Procedures should be in place to avoid injury.
The most common solicited adverse reactions in individuals aged 12 to 64 (greater than 10%) were injection site pain, fatigue, headache, and myalgia.
And in individuals 65 and older (greater than 5%) were injection site pain, myalgia and fatigue.
VIMKUNYA is a virus-like particle (VLP) vaccine, which means it’s designed to mimic the chikungunya virus without causing disease.
VIMKUNYA induced a robust seroresponse within 3 weeks after vaccination.
